MD9840 - I/O MODULE
MD9840 is an addressable Input/output module. It is designed to interface external systems to the FDS by the loop/branch.
It provides 4 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs. It is mainly used to monitor the state of switches, valves positions, flow switches, limit switches and to send commands to external systems like for example the Fire Fighting System. The output activation is controlled by the central unit with the implementation of cause/effects matrixes. The input lines contain an internal diagnostic to detect break and short circuit in the wires connecting the input to the monitored device.
The MD9840-B version of the module is used to interface conventional detectors.
The MD9840-BA version is used to interface two 4-20mA input channels.
The module address is programmed by the central unit or by software tools.
